Overview

ViaPath is currently seeking a Product Specialist to join our OMS Product team. The selected candidate will be responsible for working with ViaPath customers to ensure a positive user experience by determining which OMS product modules and features are the best fit for their needs. Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple customers’ needs and expectations, while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. Must be comfortable with communicating with customers, both on the phone and via webcam, and have excellent documentation and communication skills. This position will be a remote-based position with a requirement to travel as needed, will need access to a major airport. 

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the subject matter expert for the product to both external and internal clients, recommending best product configuration and providing product demos 
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in business information systems and applies this to fit the Product to the customer needs
  • Drives product value through analyzing use cases, conducting business case validation, and determining the needs from data capture and reporting requirements
  • Integrates usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements
  • Identify, create, and facilitate product design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level, focusing on quality improvement and data management
  • Creates and manages product feature artifacts to include but not limited to User Stories, feature documentation, and training aids
  • Works closely with members of the Engineering team to ensure successful inclusion of approved features in the product
  • Works with Quality Assurance to ensure traceability of requirements to test plans
  • Troubleshoots customer support issues

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field preferred; 5 years of related experience working in enterprise level information systems,  in lieu of a degree AND: 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working within a software delivery environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Outlook)
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; demonstrated experience effectively presenting to large audiences
  • Highly effective time and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and Adobe Products
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects and meeting competing deadlines
  • Comfortable working in correctional facilities environment
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Criminal Justice or Corrections experience is a plus
