Overview

ViaPath is seeking a Senior Product Manager of Facility Products, responsible for developing and owning the roadmap, building the competency, and systems that will deliver Facility Products to the market. We need someone who is technical enough to effectively engage engineers while possessing enough acumen to interact with customers clients and stakeholders. A critical requirement is meeting if not exceeding the client expectations, maintaining best in class status within ViaPath’s competitive space.

 

Remote based position with a requirement to be located near an airport to meet the minimal travel requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership around product vision, product strategy, product installations, business, and market strategy.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed product roadmap in a prioritized product backlog which accurately reflects customer and company priorities.
  • Manage and be responsible for delivery of product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Act as a stakeholder and decision-maker within the agile development process, making scoping, prioritization, and product/design decisions under aggressive timelines.
  • In certain opportunities, collaborate directly with key customer stakeholders and work closely with account managers and account executives to maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Promote a common departmental vision; develop strategic goals, objectives, priorities with an emphasis on expediency and delivery.
  • Ensure that business vision and goals associated with feature sets are communicated clearly to the engineering and QA teams, and that delivered products address business value.
  • Responsible for the Facility product lifecycle management and prioritization of features / functions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership including product marketing, channel development, sales, and account management to ensure that product positioning and functionality if effective and profitable.
  • Be the lead collaborator on value proposition strategy and enhancement of the Facility product suite for world class customer solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in positioning go-to-market strategy, analysis, segmentation, product planning, road mapping, and competitive positioning.
  • Evangelize the Facility product suite to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to visit jails and prisons and potentially be in proximity with detainees, offenders, and inmates.

Qualifications

Required Experience and Education: 

  • 5-8 years of product management experience in a production environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, Project Management, Customer Service/Support, or relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience delivering products to Government agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Business or Technology or Engineering field is required or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up 25% of the time is required.

 

Desired Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Experience managing software projects from idea to completion.
  • Experience coordinating among different divisions of an organization, ideally with experience collaborating with Product Development, Sales, and Implementation.
  • Excellent business acumen and presentation skills.
  • Experience in managing large, complex projects with strong analytical skills.
  • An exceptional communicator, with an emphasis on oral and written communication skills. · Team player with the ability to productively work through challenges.
  • Ability to multi-task, own and manage multiple deadlines to successful completion.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and remain organized.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into a coherent plan.
  • Must be able to set and meet quick deadlines.
  • Familiarity in Corrections market.
