Overview

ViaPath is seeking a RVP, Business Development to join the team.  The RVP, Business Development will deliver against the regional gross profit target by driving contract renewal, new product upsell and new customer acquisition. The selected candidate will work with the Chief Growth Officer and other leaders to ensure consistent sales strategy execution. Concurrently, the RVP will quarterback an Accountability Team within the region and work closely with peers cross functionally to drive account management and partner success.

 

This is a remote position based in the Western Region with a requirement to travel to customer sites and conferences up to 75% of the time.  For consideration, candidates must be based in the Western Region.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a collaborative, team-based environment that focuses on client impact, accountability and personal development. Actively participates in the development of annual regional and territory level targets
  • Lead, motivate, coach and mentor each account manager to prioritize and execute against the set of objectives for their accounts; ensure AM appropriately allocate their time within their territory based on account priority
  • Inspect strategic account plan, completion and depth and ensure the team consistently use them to drive account activity
  • Accompany AM on sales calls to provide guidance and support; hold reps accountable for performance relative to their individual targets
  • Drive team tracking and measurement of sales activities, outcomes and usage of the data to improve own performance, including mandatory use of salesforce CRM.
  • Lead the hiring, onboarding, development and retention of AM’s across the regional team
  • Provide input into the sales compensation strategy, management methodology and standard sales process
  • Support the regional sales teams by helping to resolve issues as needed and serve as a point of escalation
  • Oversee and ensure the success of account transition where necessary, including the transition between the national and regional teams

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of sales / sales account management experience with at least 5 of those years in a sales leadership role
  • Experience working with or within the corrections industry preferred
  • Demonstrated success selling relationship-based services in industries with a long sales cycle and frequent government interaction and RFP process
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others through challenging sales situations and complex selling environments
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change through the use of evidence-based, data-driven approaches
  • The successful candidate must bring high level of ethical, intellectual, professional and personal values that complement the team and firm culture
  • Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to achieve company goals. Assertive in style, but respectful of others, and skilled in navigating competing organizational priorities and agendas
  • Strong relationship builder with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both within an organization and externally. Proven self-starter who works well both independently and in a team environment
  • High energy, self-motivated, and hands-on management style working with all levels of the organization to drive performance and continuous improvement using an analytic and metrics based approach to comprehend market trends and help shape the future of the segment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
