Overview

The Senior Business Development Support Specialist will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders in the Sales and Marketing departments to manage and oversee the ViaPath tradeshow and conference schedule. Responsibilities will include conducting research on various events and vendors, making recommendations, and managing all aspects of ViaPath’s participation in tradeshows and conferences to include planning, registration, preparing booth equipment and materials, prepping participants, scheduling set-up/breakdown, working directly with conference staff, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the management to develop and execute an effective trade show strategy based on potential ROI, demographics, speaking and sponsorship opportunities, lead generation opportunities, past performance and budget impact.
  • Maintain up-to-date, internally visible corporate trade show calendar
  • Manage and coordinate logistics of all trade shows and events (national and international) – sponsorship/staff registration, A/V, booth install/dismantle instructions, collateral and promotional item shipments, pre- and post- show communication
  • Manage trade show lead collection and reporting
  • Train sales staff on trade show tools, processes and best practices
  • Monitor exhibit asset inventory, maintenance and repairs
  • Attend and provide onsite support for select trade show and events
  • Manage corporate trade show budget
  • Keep track of partner Associations, including payments and updates, and updating company profile information. Research new Associations to partner with.
  • Oversee the creation of tradeshow collateral, handouts, and booth design.
    • Collaborate with Marketing, BDE, Sales Leadership, and Product to ensure appropriate messaging.
  • Coordinate and manage hospitality events including creation of venue invitation, budget management
  • Support BDE to create and manage all customer facing sales presentations
  • Support BDE in maintaining ensuring Salesforce compliance
  • Populate Salesforce opportunities with all approved ViaPath pricing models.
  • Assist Proposal Manager with maintaining standard response content library.
  • Support BDE in maintaining Highspot – training, collateral, departmental process, etc.
  • Assist in the negotiation and ongoing relationship management of vendor contracts that provide supportive services for hosted conferences, trade shows and other corporate events, ensuring best possible pricing and service for event.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience in lieu of a degree AND;
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting competing deadlines
  • Organized and self-motivated in achieving goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Strong MS Suite skills – Powerpoint, Excel, Word
  • Knowledgeable with Salesforce CRM, Sharepoint, Adobe Pro
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) a plus
  • Previous sales support experience preferred
