The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of both software and hardware products through the design, development, and execution of manual and automated tests. This is a hybrid role in Dallas, TX. Responsibility involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support software releases and maintain high product standards. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in software testing, excellent hardware troubleshooting skills, strong documentation practices, an understanding of QA methodologies, and the ability to test in complex environments, including virtual and intranet-based systems.
Hybrid position based at the ViaPath office located in Dallas, TX.
Design and execute test plans across web, API, and backend platforms using TestRail.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
Identify, log, and manage defects using Jira.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
Validate software features against business requirements.
Report on test coverage, defect trends, and quality metrics.
Collaborate with developers to enhance software testability.
Conduct business rule configuration testing in relational databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
Perform testing in virtual and intranet environments.
Perform testing on proprietary devices and mobile devices.
