Overview

ViaPath is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Data Analytics Manager to lead enterprise-wide analytics initiatives and Reporting team. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, this role will manage a team of analysts responsible for delivering actionable insights that drive performance across departments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in data modeling, visualization, and analytics platforms, and will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

 

This is a remote based position - can be based anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and execute scalable analytics strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance across platforms and teams.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to enhance data architecture and pipelines.

Reporting & Visualization

  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
  • Standardize reporting frameworks to support cross-functional analysis and performance tracking.
  • Deliver timely insights to executive leadership and operational teams.

Advanced Anaytics & Modeling 

  • Lead the development of predictive models and statistical analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Translate complex data into intuitive visualizations and narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Apply machine learning and AI techniques where appropriate to enhance forecasting and trend analysis.

Automation & Efficiency

  • Streamline reporting processes through automation using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Spark, and advanced Excel.
  • Reduce manual effort and improve reliability of recurring analytics deliverables.
  • Use Power Platform, GEN-AI tools like CoPilot, and Microsoft Fabric to automate manual processes and improve business results.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to maximize the impact of analytics.

Special Projects 

  • Lead cross-functional analytics initiatives that support organizational priorities.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Product teams to deliver insights that drive performance and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, data management, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Python, and advanced Excel (macros, pivots, lookups, arrays).
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and planning tools; experience with D365 is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to C-Suite and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. Experience in correctional technology, government services, or education technology is a plus.
  • Up to 10% travel requirement - must be willing and able to travel as needed.
