Overview

ViaPath is looking for a Technician 3, Tablet Repair to join our growing team.  The role of the Technician 3, Tablet Repair is to support the analysis and repair of high volumes of android tablet computers and requires the ability to prioritize tasks, proactively identify and address issues, and exercise clear communication.

 

Positions will be based at the ViaPath office located in Grand Prairie, TX.

 

Shift:  Monday - Friday, 4:00PM - 12:00AM

Responsibilities

  • Performing analysis on computer tablets, assess functionality, replace components as needed and maintain repair records
  • Perform CTP screen and battery replacements
  • Perform board level micro-soldering to include replacing auxiliary and USB ports
  • Ability to disassemble, work with small, delicate components and reassemble correctly
  • Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in tablet technology
  • Provide recommendation for problem resolution
  • Work with staff to set priorities on a daily and weekly basis
  • Actively monitor staff productivity and ensure time is being spent appropriately
  • Act as an escalation point for the team, helping them make decisions about complex technical issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of related repair experience (Tablet, Cell phone, etc.)
  • Minimum of 4 years of micro-soldering experience
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective repairs
  • Be organized, thorough and accurate while diagnosing and repairing tablets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Have a great attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Must have a positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed.
  • Basic computer skills, MS Office suite a plus
