Overview

ViaPath is currently seeking a Regional Manager of Installation to join our rapidly growing, fast paced team. The Regional Manager of Installation will be responsible for project oversight for multiple project installation teams simultaneously. Responsibilities will include the following components:  leadership, operational/financial planning and management, quality control management, workforce management including contractors, risk management, and community relations. 

 

This position is a hybrid opportunity based at the ViaPath office located in Altoona, PA.  The position will require up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight both remote and onsite, to multiple installation teams
  • Manage multiple project teams to ensure project timelines are meeting contractual agreements within established deadlines
  • Ensure that the operation (to include the programs and services offered by the region) meets and exceeds the expectations of its contracted customers, internal and external customers, peers and management
  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation and delivery of programs and services of the region
  • Establish and foster team culture with a commitment to timeliness, responsiveness and exceptional work product
  • Conduct facility site visits during projects installation to ensure quality
  • Work directly with subcontractors to plan current and future installation projects
  • Participate in install activities as needed
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time within budget and met with high quality standards
  • Develop and deliver reports to all stakeholders
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and work collaboratively to resolve hardware problems for products
  • Works collaboratively with other member of installation team for successful project implementation
  • Support project managers for project tracking and delivery schedules
  • Sense of urgency on customer and business priorities
  • Ensures compliance with codes, regulations, and standards by understanding articles related to BICSI, Telecommunications Standards; National Electric Code; EIA/ TIA 568-A
  • Identify and mitigate internal and external issues that affect the region
  • Identify and evaluate the risks to the company, organization, people (clients, staff, management, contractors), property, finances, image and implement measures to control risks
  • Determine staffing requirements for regional management and program delivery
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; specialized training preferred
  • Minimum Ten (10) years Telecommunications or Network Infrastructure experience
  • Minimum Five (5) years related Leadership and or Management experience
  • Demonstrated management experience to include leadership skills, decision making skills, project management skills, and impactful service delivery skills
  • General knowledge of construction activities and demonstrated experience building project timelines to include milestones, productivity volumes and scalability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet competing deadlines
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Team focused; ability to lead a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills to include MS Office suite of products
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are required
  • Experience building project plans and developing SOWs
  • Experience handling contractor/subcontractor management (costing, planning, invoicing)
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Valid Driver’s License and a good, driving record; position will require travel to-and-from project sites
  • Comfortable working in a corrections environment
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience generating an equipment list and bill of material
  • Ability to build relationships, foster teamwork, and interact effectively with all levels of personnel
